25 Years Later: Run-DMC At Live Aid

Yesterday marked the 25th anniversary of the Live Aid concert. The global concert was a fundraiser to eradicate the famine in Ethiopia. The shows took place in the U.K. at Wembley Stadium and the demolished JFK Stadium in Philadelphia, PA. It was broadcasted in a billion homes and in 110 countries. Performances included every major artist in the game, but most importantly, Run-DMC. In the city of Brotherly Love, the boys from Hollis were the sole rap act to hit the stage. Before 100,000 fans the trio performed “King Of Rock”.
