The World is Listening is a homage to the power of the female voice in hip hop, and pays respect to those pioneering female artists who have often been overshadowed by their male counterparts. With this song, Akua Naru encourages us to remember the ways in which these women have served as models of inspiration for many, and to address our need to support more female presence in hip hop. The song was produced by Cologne, Germany’s internationally acclaimed production duo JR & PH7.

The World Is Listening is the 2nd single off Akua Naru’s debut album The Journey Aflame.
