With his commanding live show and unwavering presence on the mic, Hip-Hop heads worldwide best make way for Big Rec. The New Orleans born, Oklahoma bred emcee has been lighting up the indie Hip-Hop circuit; naturally, it would only be a matter of time until he connected with a legendary figure like Diamond D, who states that “Rec is part of the new school of emcees, but he still has that eternal Hip-Hop sound which made me gravitate toward him, and I don’t gravitate toward nothing I don’t believe in 100%.”

Originally slated for a late 2012 release to coincide with the world’s obsession of the Mayan prophecy, Doomsday is a call to all to half stepping emcees that there’s a new hombre in town, as Rec delivers a classic body of work devoid of smoke and mirrors. Released on D’s Dymond Mine Records, the project features the talents of R.A. the Rugged Man, Blake Moses and TH5PENTAGON, and has already seen support from the likes of DJ Premier.
