Dig Of The Day: Chubb Rock – Stop That Train (Remix – 1989)

We have a super intelligent ’89 lyrical material from a man with incredible flow and who “was just a youth when King Tim III came out”, the one and only Chubb Rock, on a superb remix tip for a track off his 2nd album And The Winner Is… released in ’89.

Chubb Rock was a member of the 1995 incarnation of the Crooklyn Dodgers, a rap act that also featured O.C. and Jeru The Damaja. His backup dancers started their own group, A.T.E.E.M, and released their debut A Hero Ain’t Nothin’ But A Sandwich in 1992.

He’s raised in Brooklyn and is regarded as one of the East Coast’s most dexterous rappers.
