Dig Of The Day: World Renown – Long Gev (prod. by K-Def – 1995)
Something rare today from World Renown group, a track from their still unreleased ’95 debut album titled World Renown for Warner Bros. Records who decided to shelve it for some reason. I read somewhere that apparently a 12″ promo of the album came out a few years back but it’s probably a bootleg record made from Warner Bros. ’95 promo cassette tape. The group consists of Seven Shawn (cousin of K-Def) and John Doe (cousin of Marley Marl).
The track Long Gev was however released as a 7″ Limited Edition single under K-Def – Signature Sevens Vol.3 – K-Def Presents World Renown in 2013 on Slice-of-Spice and Ghettoman Beats.
Produced, restored and mastered by K-Def.
