Continuing on into further levels of rap-nerdism, our guys Cipha Sounds & Peter Rosenberg courted hip-hop OG Dante Ross to share a gang of his early rap stories. As one of the few white guys that was around the early 90s rap scene in New York, Dante produced, executive produced and A&R’d a number projects Brand Nubian, Grand Puba, Pete Rock and C.L. Smooth, MF Doom, Busta Rhymes, and countless others. His resume ranges from Pete Rock & CL Smooth “T.R.O.Y.” to Carlos Santana feat. Everlast “Put Your Lights On” and everything in between. His stories of ODB coming to drop a deuce at his house, stopping fights in NYC, growing up with the Beasties and so much are unforgettable. You really need to lock into this because is it LONG.
