Kanye West Debuts “I Don’t Want To Be Liked” In Manila, Philippines

During the Yeezus era, Kanye West would typically break out into a rant during performing MBDTF hit “Runaway”.

However for his first performance following the 2016 release of The Life Of Pablo at the Paradise International Music Festival in Manila, Philippines (where he performed directly after Wiz Khalifa, who Yeezy dissed in the run up to TLOP), Kanye broke down into an introspective autotuned freestyle.

The recurring topic of the refrain was “I don’t want to be liked” as well as “god is love”, which was welcomed with heavy applause from the crowd in the world’s most Catholic country, a far cry from Kanye’s “Yeezus” era.
