Lucky Dice – Shafting

Ogho Oruma aka Lucky Dice is a Boston-born emcee who has been rhyming for over 20 years. He started spitting rhymes back in the late 80s around his neighborhood, the South End of Boston. In ’96 Dice went off to Umass Amherst for college and in his first year of school he met another emcee that was sick in the head, by the name of REKS. After working on some music together, Lucky Dice, REKS, and B Knox formed a group called M.S.C. The group went on to perform at various shows and open for major acts like De La Soul and the Clipse to name a few. Together they released a 12inch single titled Imagin That, which sold over 1000 copies. After a short stay with the label, Dice decided to move in a different direction, enrolling back in school full-time to finish his college education. In 2008, Lucky Dice re-surfaced as an emcee with a guest appearance on the song Telescopes featured on REKS’ album Grey Hairs. Since that guest appearance, Dice has put together a new project titled Blowing Smoke in a few months.
