One of the very few classic albums (in my ears) in these past years in hip hop is getting re-released for it’s 5th anniversary.

On September 19, 2006, Lupe Fiasco’s acclaimed debut album, Food & Liquor, hit stores and secured his place as a hip-hop artist to pay attention to for years to come. Now, five years later, Lupe has a platinum-selling single and a No. 1 Billboard Top 200 chart-topping album under his belt, but he still hasn’t forgotten about his inaugural project. To celebrate the fifth anniversary of Food & Liquor, the album has been given a special re-release that includes commemorative cover art, three bonus tracks and the music videos for “Daydreamin'” and ” I Gotcha.” Although the official anniversary isn’t until next Monday, the LP is available now on iTunes.
