Must Go European Hip Hop Festivals: Frauenfeld

The Swiss Openair Frauenfeld Festival is one of the most prominent and consistent European Hip Hop festivals since their founding in 2008, hosting the biggest Hip Hop artists you can think of at any given time. From Eminem, to 50cent, Kanye, Jay-Z, Wu-Tang Clan, Outkast, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Nicki Minaj, you name it I call it. Therefore, it’s of high relevance we take a look at this year’s line-up and introduce you to the 2016 edition.

The festival is located near the beautiful town of Frauenfeld, in northern Switzerland, not too far from Zürich. Surrounded by fresh air, mountains, valleys, cute little towns and assumably fantastic (not too hot, not cold) weather during the 7th, 8th and 9th of July, the festival is intended to be completely open air. AND MANY MORE. Damn. The artists we at Blackout Hip Hop are definitely looking forward to are: Action Bronson, Hopsin, Mick Jenkins, Anderson .Paak, Angel Haze and Jazz Cartier. That’s our thing. But as you can see, the line-up is packed with different flavors and big rap stars, so there will definitely be content for everyone. You don’t even have to like Hip Hop, you’ll love this, I promise!
