Nas Invests in Mass Appeal

Forbes entertainment writer Zack O’Malley Greenburg reports today that Nas has made a six-figure investment in Mass Appeal Media, the umbrella company that runs the recently re-launched magazine and online property. According to Greeburg, Nas was ” dismayed at the lack of options for readers interested in all aspects of hip-hop culture” and his hefty investment buys him the title of Associate Publisher.

Says Nas about the investment:
“Mass Appeal has a legacy and respect,” he says. “It already has a foundation … I just feel like I can add on because I can lend my kind of cultural expertise and my professional acumen, and develop the business.”
