On May 13th Oddisee will release The Odd Tape, ( Compact Disc, Standard Vinyl, Deluxe Vinyl) but if you call this simply an instrumental album, you might as well say the same about Bitches Brew. This is his best instrumental work since Rock Creek Park and finds the Prince Georges raised and Brooklyn-based composer bending Hip-Hop, soul, and jazz into singular form, tapping into that same emotional Fort Knox that animates all wordless choruses.
