The crew from Entree LS paid tribute to Adam Yauch this past weekend, painting a beautiful mural out in Midwood, Brooklyn – where MCA attended Edward R. Murrow high school.

… the Beastie Boys were like older brothers to us. Inspiring us as rappers, stereo type crushers, instrumentalists, culture kings, videographers, editors, business men, show men and as exceptional and special human beings. Thank you for the inspiration… We payed tribute to the energy [MCA] gave us in the best way we knew how. Thank you for your contributions to music, art, and humanity. Shout outs to Mike-D, King Ad Rock, and all of the family and friends of Adam Yauch. Our condolences during these difficult times. MCA’s essence lives on.

After nearly six months since the release of Premo Pimpin’, everybody’s favorite panderer is back with “Jewels On It,” the debut leak off his forthcoming free album Pussy Rich. Featuring Roc Marciano and produced by Statik Selektah, “Put Jewels On It” provides introspection into the lifestyle of both emcees, emphasized by Statik’s scratch chorus that borrows from Prodigy’s quotable on “Keep It Thoro””Move on it, put jewels on it, who want…I don’t fuck around dunny.” Although an exact release date has yet to be confirmed, Pussy Rich is set to include guest features from Action Bronson, Sean Price, REKS, 8Ball & MJG, Mario Winans, Sauce Money among others and includes production from The Bizness, Sebb, Frequency, Domingo, Shuko, ATG and more.

Oddisee is preparing to release his new album “People Hear What They See” next month, but rather than do the standard issue single leaks, he wanted to make it more interesting. So last night Oddisee released a video of Marvin Gaye’s ‘Ain’t That Peculiar’ remixed by Oddisee (including a new verse). Next week we will be giving away this track along with 3 others Oddisee created featuring remixed songs by K-Os, Bon Iver, Metronomy. The collection of 4 tracks is called “Odd Renditions”.
