Semaj`- Beast Is Watchin’

Born and raised in Trenton, NJ, Semaj` remembers when Hip-Hop was not just about a shit load of money, cars, gang violence, half naked women and the men that disrespect them.

Driven by the Hip-Hop revolution of the 80s and motivated by the golden era of the 90s, Semaj` has a nostalgic sound comparable to the greats. He has been inspired by musical pioneers such as Roy Ayers, Tito Puente, Sun Ra, Santana, Bob Marley, Eric B. & Rakim and Poor Righteous Teachers, just to name a few. After emceeing for several years and mastering his craft, he began producing music and teamed up with fellow emcee/producer KwyitStorm to form The Instru-Mentalists.

The first solo release from Semaj` is Magnum Opus which consists of 14 musical tracks, 7 interludes, 1 hidden track & digital artwork for each musical composition!
All songs were conceived, written, produced (except where noted), engineered, mixed and mastered by Semaj` for The Instru-Mentalists. Also, all scratching, digital artwork is by Semaj`.
