Slum Village to donate all proceeds from new single to Jay Dee’s children

Slum Village’s new Jay Dee produced single, “Yes Yes,” was premiered over a week ago by Noisey and has since amassed nearly 100K plays on Soundcloud. “Yes Yes” was released to pay tribute too the worldwide celebration of Dilla’s birthday and ‘Dilla Day Detroit 2014’ which took place in Detroit on February 7th, 2014 and featured live performances from a host of internationally acclaimed artists including DJ Premier, Pete Rock, De La Soul, Slum Village, Phife Dawg and Guilty Simpson.

Today, Slum Village and Yancey Media Group in conjunction with J Dilla’s family has announced that “Yes Yes” is now available on iTunes and all of the proceeds from the track will go directly to Dilla’s children. In a personal statement, Joylette (the mother of Dilla’s youngest daughter Ja’ May Yancey) states “I would like to thank everyone for the love and support and Slum Village and Yancey Media Group for donating the proceeds from this single to Dilla’s daughters.”
