At the site of the future Universal Hip Hop Museum in the Bronx (Kingsbridge Armory), a press conference took place for the 30th anniversary of Kurtis Blow’s track “Basketball.” Hip-Hop pioneers and legends stood alongside Councilman Fernando Cabrera and industry-men alike to commemorate the event. Here’s to hoping that the museum is seen through to completion, which is more likely now given that the newly elected Mayor appears to be a Hip-Hop head.
