Video: Dig Of The Day: 3rd Bass – Gas Face (Live on Arsenio Hall 1990)

Today we got a great interview and live performance from the well known 3rd Bass group on Arsenio Hall, which consisted of MC Serch, Prime Minister Pete Nice & DJ Richie Rich aka Daddy Rich. The track they’re performin’, Gas Face, is off their debut The Cactus Album released on Def Jam Recordings and Columbia in 1989. The track features Zev Love X of KMD, who is uncredited on the album.

Active from ’87 – ’92, they gave time on early wax to two eventual legends: Zev Love X (later known as the great MF Doom) and Nas‘s second studio appearance on the MC Serch ’92 joint Back To The Grill.
