Video: Dig Of The Day: Herbie Hancock – Rockit (1983)

We have an electro funk classic from a man who released over 40 albums.. An American pianist, keyboardist, bandleader, composer and actor. Mr. Hancock was even a part of Miles Davis Quintet in the 60s where he redefined the role of a jazz rhythm section and was one of the architects of the post-bop sound.

Rockit was released as a single and appears on his 35th album (Platinum), titled Future Shock, released in ’83 on Columbia.

Produced by Herbie Hancock, Bill Laswell, Michael Beinhorn and Material with the legendary Grandmixer D.St. on the turntables!
