Video: Dig Of The Day: Kool & The Gang – Celebration (1980)

An all time classic from the legendary New Jersey jazz, R&B, soul, funk and brilliant disco group Kool & The Gang, and their simply amazing tune Celebration. They went through several musical phases during their recording career, starting out with a purist jazz sound, then funk and R&B, progressing to a smooth pop-funk ensemble, and in the post-millennium creating music with a modern, electro-pop sound.

Celebration is off their 14th album Celebrate!, released on De-Lite Records in 1980. They were busy no doubt, considering they were formed in 1964, put out their debut in 1970 and only 10 years later, 14th album came out.
