Video: Dig Of The Day: Smooth Ice – Smooth But Def / Do It Again (1990)

Hey folks, double feature today. In the first one many of you will recognize the Barry White sample. This was one of the first uses of this sample, with only 1 song doin’ it 2 years before, in ’88. Smooth Ice is/was a rapper, producer, songwriter and protegé of Run-D.M.C.

Smooth But Def was released as a single b/w Trunk Of Funk and appears on his debut and only album titled Smooth Ice, released on MCA Records in 1990.

The second feature is another joint he released with a video titled Do It Again from the same album which was his 2nd and final single.
