Video: Dig Of The Day: The Brand New Heavies ft. Main Source – Bonafied Funk (1992)
One of the best beats I heard Large Pro‘s voice on. Like bread and butter! We have a rare video version (best quality upload out there I’m pretty sure) of a sweet joint you might recall titled Bonafied Funk, which appears on an interesting project which also features Gang Starr, Grand Puba, Masta Ace, Jamalski, Kool G. Rap, Black Sheep, Ed O.G., Tiger and The Pharcyde, titled Heavy Rhyme Experience: Vol. 1, a 3rd album by apparently one of the best acid jazz/UK funk groups ever, called The Brand New Heavies.
Also, Bonafied Funk got a single release, which was very likely recorded in ’91 and released the following year and if you like, since the video is slightly censored, you can hear the UNCUT version here.
