Video: Making Of The Mural That Immortalizes A Tribe Called Quest In NY

Yesterday was the 25th anniversary since A Tribe Called Quest released their album ˝The Low End Theory.˝ That is the group’s second LP that was released on September 24, 1991 and it is often considered their master piece. The group has tragically lost a group co-funder Phife Dawg. In his honor they decided to beautifully immortalize A.T.C.Q. with a mural that is situated in their collective home borough of Queens, New York.

The moments of making the mural were captured by OkayPlayer. This mini-documentary explores the driven organizers and artists who made this happen, it also explores the landmark and the vibrant mural itself.
