It’s certainly been a whirlwind ride for Malaysian urban pop artist Mizz Nina since she broke new ground in the local music scene with her debut solo album What You Waiting For in July 2010. She topped the Malaysian charts with the album’s lead single of the same name (with Colby O’Donis) that gained a whopping 600,000 in mobile caller ringtone downloads in a matter of weeks, making it the first local English single to ever make that achievement. Now, a year after, Mizz Nina repeats her success with her new single “Takeover”, featuring internationally renowned hip hop artist Flo Rida.
Previously known for her rapping chops as a member of AIM award-nominated group The Tajrk Crew, Mizz Nina returns with a bigger and better sound that is set to slay fans and new listeners alike. On the new single Mizz Nina teams up with one of today’s hottest international artists in urban Top 40 music: Flo Rida. A prolific rapper-singer and serial collaborator with hits such as “Low” (with T-Pain), “In The Ayer” (with Will.I.Am.), “Elevator” (with Timbaland) and most recently “Club Can’t Handle Me” (with David Guetta), Flo Rida was a natural choice in helping to devise a soaring pop ditty that would win the hearts of listeners everywhere.

The musical production & song arrangement have been once again dedicated to Croatian producer Koolade, who is one of the most popular European hip-hop/pop producers, and is represented by IDM Music. Songs was written by Koolade’s London partner, Mr. James Freeman.

Following the triumph of her debut album, Mizz Nina has opened for Usher, Bruno Mars and most recently, Justin Bieber. She represented Malaysia at the New Skool rules hip hop convention in Rotterdam in April last year, she received a Shout! Awards win in the hip hop category with the Flava Award and now she prepares for her much-anticipated sophomore album, slated for official release early next year.
