Watch Vox’s Documentary about Kanye West’s Use of Vocals in His Songs

With seven studio albums and an extensive string of collaborations and features under his belt, Kanye West’s evolution as an artist has been marked by his use of innovative vocal effects and techniques. Vox’s Estelle Caswell and hip hop analyst Martin Connor have banded together to document Kanye’s progressive experimentation with “chipmunk vocals,” auto-tune, rapping through a wire, and everything that made “Ultralight Beam” so special vocally.
