Yancey Boys Feat. Frank Nitt – The Throwaway (prod. by J. Dilla)

Almost three months after being named chief curator to J Dilla‘s music catalogue, Frank Nitt (of Frank-N-Dank), alongside Delicious Vinyl, present this throwback single from the Yancey Boys, aka brothers J DIlla and Illa J, entitled “The Throwaway.” On a beat that Nitt says is probably “dates from the mid-’90s, just from the tempo and where Dilla was at creatively,” Illa and Nitt kicks some fast-paced bars over Dilla’s head-bopping funk.
