The Hip Hop Chronicle UK sits down with the engineer Young Guru at the SXSW after he had just finished a DJ set at Fader Fort. Young Guru speaks about his DJing days, why he looks up to DJ Jazzy Jeff, the first time he met Jay-Z in 1999, what makes a good engineer and one of his most memorable studio moments from the Roc-Fella days. He also speaks on the projects he’s working on including Watch The Throne and Jay-Z’s new concept album.
